An International Manufacturing & Engineering Company is currently seeking for a strong individual to fill the position of Materials Manager for our facility located in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Duties and responsibilities:

-          The Materials manager will oversee the timely delivery of materials to the manufacturing operation to meet customer demand.

-          The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing materials  processes, and working with manufacturing department to improve/correct/ or avoid issues which impact OTDthe customer .

-          The candidate will participate in our daily operations review with all other support department functions to establish daily priorities, and objectives.

-          The candidate most demonstrate a strong ability to work with the suppliers to achieve the on time delivery.

-          The candidate will be responsible for monthly reporting of operation metrics, and project status.

-          He/She will most have strong experience in Inventory Control.

-          The Materials manager will also need experience in transfer of manufacturing footprint from other facilities. He/She will be responsible for maintain on time delivery accurate without impact to the customers.

-          The materials  manager as a senior staff member must be a ‘Values champion’, and will be an example of values leadership, and ethical behavior all the time.

-          The materials manager is also responsible for supporting our corporate citizenship programs in the community.

-          The materials  manager is responsible for enforcing safety, and observing good environmental practices on the production floor.

-          He/she will be a champion of our On time delivery and Inventory Controls metrics and will actively participate in the internal audits, and external audits.

-          Customs and compliance is a most.

Personal skills and abilities:

-          10 years experience as materials manager  Additional incremental experience in working in other functional areas such as manufacturing, engineering, quality, or supply chain is desired.

-          Strong verbal and written communications in English are required for this position.

-          Great attitude for team work, and conflict management.

-          Self starter attitude.

-          Excellent interpersonal and presentation delivery skills.

-          Strong leadership skills

-          Project management skills are desired.

-          Lean foundation and strong use of the tools is a must.

-          Great sense of company values, and ethics.

-          Strong MRP’s and Systems background

-          Desire to work in a fun fast pace demanding environment.

-          Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in the use Microsoft Office programs.

-          APICS Certification is a plus.

 Education requirements:

-          Bachelors of Science of Engineering any related field, or Business Administration
